By the grace of the Almighty God, the VCF Nigeria Akure Assembly was established in 2007 as a result of the vision and passion of our esteemed leader, the General Overseer and Senior Pastor of Victory Christian Fellowship, Rev. Dr. Oluwakayode Samuel Ajimatanrareje. Through his persistent prayers and God's faithful response, Pastor Folutile Samson Femi joined the ministry, helping to bring the vision to fruition

The foundation of Victory Christian Fellowship (VCF) Akure Assembly began on January 9, 2007, with just five members: Pastor Folutile Samson Femi, his wife Mrs. Folutile Oluwaseun, Pastor Abiodun Victor, his wife, and their daughter. Initially, the focus was on evangelism and weekly discipleship meetings. It wasn't until the first Sunday in May 2007 that the assembly held its first Sunday service.

This inaugural service took place at Sarajoe Shopping Complex, Oke Ijebu, Akure, which the ministry had previously used as an office for its radio ministry before transitioning into a fully-fledged church. By the grace of God, the congregation grew, and the church relocated to a rented space at Filo-Building, Oke Ijebu, before finally moving to its current, permanent place of worship. As the church grew in number, God continued to bless the ministry.

In 2017, after ten years of discipleship, VCF Akure held its first ordination ceremony, led by Senior Pastor Dr. Kayode Samuel Ajimatanrareje on the recommendation of Resident Pastor Folutile Samson Femi. During this ordination, three pastors were appointed: Pastor Akinkuolie Cosmas Olawale, Pastor Nasiru Emmanuel, and Pastor Oladewa Olejide. Additionally, Evangelist Oladehinde Mercy and three deacons—Deacon Bamidele Stephen, Deacon Olajide Adeolu, and the late Deacon Ambrose Onyekachi—were ordained.

Since then, the Akure Assembly has experienced continued growth, both spiritually and numerically, all to the glory of God. As the church flourished, Pastor Folutile felt a calling to expand the ministry into new areas. After discussing the vision with the General Overseer, Rev. Dr. Kayode Samuel Ajimatanrareje, who was fully supportive, the vision came to fruition with the establishment of the Igoba Assembly in 2016.
